Veterinarian
I’ve wanted to become a veterinarian ever since I was a child. I’ve always felt a deep connection between myself, animals, and the Earth.
After graduating from high school in Japan, I moved to the United States with my family due to my father’s job transfer. I began my academic journey at a junior college, where I spent four years studying English as a second language and completing all the prerequisites for university.
I was accepted to UC Davis, where I earned my degree in zoology. Following that, I pursued my dream further and attended Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2001.
As I continued practicing, I realized that being an integrative practitioner is the path that fits me best. Combining the science of veterinary medicine with the wisdom of natural healing allows me to care for my patients in a way that aligns with my values and intuition.
I believe in the power of healing from within and take a holistic approach—supporting animals with herbs, acupuncture, and homeopathy, and treating each patient as a whole being.
I love taking a moment of silence each day amidst our busy lives. Listening to birds sing, admiring the magnificence of trees during a walk, and enjoying the beauty of flowers helps me feel grounded and connected to the Earth. These quiet moments remind me to stay grateful and in tune with the natural world and the universe.
I also believe in the importance of slowing down. Taking a moment of silence each day—listening to birds, admiring trees, or simply noticing flowers—helps me reconnect with the Earth and express gratitude for life. Too often, we forget to treat one another with the respect we all deserve.
And above all, I try to live by a simple reminder:
Be kind—to people, to animals, and to the Earth.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting your pet’s journey to health and balance.
